About us

The Midwest Center For Biblical Studies was founded by Wayne Ball, driven by a profound burden for individuals lacking the confidence to pursue God's calling in their lives. He observed that this lack of confidence often stems from a lack of access to the necessary knowledge and skills. Our center aims to bridge this gap, empowering students with the knowledge and skills needed to confidently follow God's path. Additionally, Wayne was motivated by the desire to protect sincere Christians from being misled by deceptive false teachers promoting heresy.

Our Beliefs

We are a conservative, evangelical institution committed to the truths taught in the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. We believe:

1. In the Triune God (One divine essence in three persons, Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

2. In the deity of Jesus Christ, that He came in human form to die on the cross for our sins and rose again from the dead, thus defeating death and satisfied the wrath of God that belonged on sinful man.

3. We believe in the Holy Spirit who seals, sanctifies, teaches, indwells, and empowers the believer.

4. That mankind is sinful and are only saved by grace through faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross. From this salvation experience comes good works that proves a person's salvation.

5. That the gathering of God's people is considered the church and must be led by a pastor. The church is to make disciples, teach the Bible, worship together, serve each other, and exercises discipline over its members. The church must make a positive impact in the surrounding community with the goal of bringing others to faith in Christ.

6. That the church is to practice two ordinances: Communion and Baptism. Neither hold salvific value but are important in remembering and honoring what Jesus has done in the life of the church.

7. We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, the rapture of the church, the judgment of both believers and unbelievers.
